Getting there. The Heathrow Express train takes 15 minutes non-stop from the airport to Paddington Station in the centre of London. Trains leave every 15 minutes and the standard single fare is 14.50 GBP. The airport is also on the Underground's Piccadilly Line which runs directly central underground stations. A one-day travel card, including travel to Heathrow costs 6.30 GBP. Black taxi cabs wait outside each terminal, and typically cost around 50 GBP to central London.
